We have many years of hunting experience and the knowledge to help you select and use the equipment needed to successfully pursue and harvest game in southwest Virginia. We are a federally licensed (FFL) firearms stocking dealer and we carry a full line of optics, binoculars and scopes which we will install and boresight free. We handle all firearm transfer requests over the phone and only charge $25 (including NICS) for each gun transferred.

We carry new and used guns, ammunition, shooting and hunting supplies, licenses, game calls, Parker bows and crossbows, archery accessories as well as fishing equipment and bass tournament tackle.... and we have knowledgeable staff to assist you in selection and use.

We offer seasonal firearms, archery and fishing workshops and are always available to offer expert advice to everyone...novice to professional.

All guns in inventory ordered from this site will be sent to our store within two business days or less for pickup. To purchase any of the guns listed, simply select the firearm you want, register with a user name and password and go to the screen that summarizes the total cost (including shipping and sales tax). Once there you can either confirm your selection and secure the gun online with a deposit (credit card) or you can choose to continue to search for other or additional guns. When you find and confirm your gun a check for the full amount of your deposit will be sent to the Virginia Outdoorsman and applied as cash When the gun is shipped, you will receive an email with the tracking information, so you will know when it arrives in our shop. Then you just come to the shop where we will do a quick instant background check (usually takes less than 10 minutes), pay the balance in cash and pick up your gun. Remember to bring your Virginia driver license and one additional form of identification with you with the same address (auto registration, hunting or fishing license, voter card, etc.) for the background check.
